For the first time after 5 seasons in a row, Matthew Williamson, one of the UK’s leading designer talents, will return to London Fashion Week for the Fashion Tribute in a high profile. He will come back from, the capital of design, New York for one night’s stopover for the exclusive invitation of Moet & Chandon, which has set up an everlasting partnership with the London Fashion Week.
Matthew Williamson has showed his debut collection of luminous, intricately designed pieces of art work in 1997, which has brought down the full house. On February 16th this year, he is to be presented with the Moet & Chandon Fashion Tribute for 2005 during an event which is to take place in London as a part of the Fashion Week schedule.
The event will be attended by international personalities and celebrities from the fields of fashion, film, music and art, such as Helena Christensen, Kate Moss a famour model, Laura Bailey, Scarlett Johansson, a well-known actress , Sienna Miller, to name just a few.
After a Moet & Chandon cocktail party followed by a gala dinner reuniting 350 guests the star turn of the evening will be Matthew Williamson’s Fashion show.
The Moet & Chandon Fashion Tribute was firstly launched in 1998 when the inaugural tribute was presented to Vivienne Westwood, the laureate . The following tribute in 2002 was pocketed by Philip Treacy. This famous and glamorous tribute is in a bid to reward outstanding design talent that has influenced the world of fashion globally.
